“when photographing a landscape, an interior or a person, i am most interested in where the subject has been and where they are going. i want the images to evoke a larger narrative.

for example, when photographing interiors the concept of a space is best expressed in how its users, actual or anticipated, occupy the space. done well, the image transcends the picture plane and conveys the designer’s objective. this is my challenge: what is the transformative narrative?” -timothy bell

timothy bell’s editorial assignments include Business Week, Fortune, Fast Company, Forbes, Worth, Time, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post Magazine, This Old House, Metropolitan Home, House Beautiful and The New York Times, among others. timothy’s commercial client list includes numerous architectural and design firms along with Knoll, Mitchel Gold and Bob Williams, and Starwood Hotels.
